Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of pigfox.com and the tools on it. Last updated 2026-08-03. Using the site means you accept them.

Who you are contracting with

Pigfox LLC, a Nevada limited liability company, registered at 1450 Vassar St, Reno, NV 89502, operating since 2005. Referred to below as “we” or “us”.

What the tools are, and what they are not

This is the most important section on the page, so it is first.

  • The tools surface signals to investigate. They do not reach verdicts and they are not proof of anything.
  • A result is not evidence of fraud, dishonesty, or wrongdoing by any person or business, and must not be presented as though it were.
  • The tools are not a consumer report and we are not a consumer reporting agency. Nothing here may be used to make decisions about credit, insurance, housing, or employment eligibility.
  • They read public information and third-party data that may be incomplete, stale, or simply wrong. A signal can fire on an innocent person, and an absence of signals proves nothing.
  • Use your own judgment, and verify anything that matters through a channel you trust.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the tools to harass, stalk, intimidate, or target any individual;
  • make an eligibility decision about a person — hiring, firing, credit, housing, insurance — on the basis of a result;
  • submit data you have no right to submit, including someone else's personal information where you lack a lawful basis;
  • attempt to defeat rate limits, quotas, or the bot challenge, or to resell or redistribute the tools as your own service;
  • use the site to break any applicable law, or to attack any system you are not authorized to test.

Accounts

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to your email address, since that is how sign-in works. Do not share API tokens. You may delete your account at any time from your account page.

Paid plans

Prices are shown on the pricing page. Billing runs through Stripe. Purchase, renewal, cancellation and refund terms are set out in the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Availability

The site is provided as it is, with no promise of uptime. Tools depend on third-party services that can fail, rate-limit us, or change without notice, and a tool may be withdrawn or changed at any time.

No warranty

To the fullest extent the law allows, the site and the tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that results are correct, complete, or current.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or reputational harm, arising from your use of the site — including any decision you make on the basis of a result.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, you keep every right your local law gives you.

Indemnity

If your use of the site breaks these terms or the law and that causes a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable cost of dealing with it.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that abuses the service or its quotas, or where we are required to. Where it is practical and lawful to do so we will say why. You may terminate at any time by deleting your account. Termination does not entitle you to a refund; see the Refund Policy.

Privacy

What we collect and how long we keep it is set out in the Privacy Policy, and the recipients are listed on the Subprocessors page.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of Nevada have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live.
